Juniper woods

Mostly found in rocky coastal locations, they were recently identified on small surfaces distributed in the northwestern portion of the island of Montecristo. Pianosa is the major Tuscan site for this habitat; in Giannutri, juniper woods are the most evolved type of vegetation and are distributed mainly close to the coastline as well as in some inland areas.
